I got to the site and had a quick look around then my PC froze up. Is Woot an information site or is it like an auction? I saw that some products had a number of 'woots' marked by their name. All new to me!

It is one third what I paid for the mini-DV camcorder (which is one half what I paid for the 8mm I had before that) and if it lasts for 5 years I'm OK with it

Haha! Bought! Lol, I needed a DVD player anyway and for that price and those features I could not resist. Thanks Phil, I love when you save me money!

That's what we are here for. If you go into a store they are looking out for your wallet in a different manner (like how to make the most commission or sell more to impress the boss).

I didn't have an immediate need for the camcorder as I had just used the old one but for $140 (which is roughly half the price as ones I looked at in the store not long before buying it) it is just something I could not pass up. I'll use it at some point and it has everything I need in that type of product. If it lasts as long as my last camcorders 5-7 years, it is worth it
